Krabi Day 4

Today was a WONDERFUL day!  I went island hopping!  To begin they picked my up from my hotel and went to the boat dock.  Now a boat dock in Thailand is not what you think of in the United States, its sand that jets out into the ocean. It was full of boats, of all shapes and sizes. We got on the boat, it was a speed boat, found our seats and got our life vests. While preparing I met two people from Sweden.  They were really nice and we talked the rest of the trip.

The first island we went to was about 45 minutes away.  It was called Bamboo Island, it was beautiful island that we got the opprotunity to swim in the crystal blue waters and take some pictures (See some below). The sand was so fine it was like powder, it doesnt stick to you. It was really nice.

After leaving the island we went to a lagoon, where the water was dark blue. We had the time to swim here as well, the water was a little deeper and the whole thing was surrounded by cliffs.  It was such a neat place to be, so beautiful.

Next on our way to lunch we drove by a bat cave that is on the edge of a cliff over looking the water, it would have been a interesting view but it is still full of bats (no thank you).  Then we did a quick jaunt past Monkey Island.  It was one of the coolest looking islands.  It had two cliff one on each side that protected it from everything else, and then a cliff the covered the front middle of the beach. The problem…its full of monkies (hints the name). They were interesting little creatures but I would NOT want to get too close to them, as they can be nasty creatures!

For lunch we went to Phi Phi Don Island.  It is the biggest island and COMPLETELY covered with tourist!  There were hundreds of boats! Lunch was a buffet and was pretty good!   The beaches there were very crowded, it looked like a party island, not a place to hangout and relax.

Following the boat trip to Phi Phi Don, we went some other island and went snorkling!  It was the first time I have been snorkling. It was SO much fun, to see the fish and at the same time it was REALLY weird to be able to breathe. It was a VERY neat experience! When we finished we went back to Krabi.

Overall a VERY involved day!
