Sunday: Today was a SUPER EVENTFUL day! Woke up and not feeling great! I had already scheduled a tour for today, so I couldn’t cancel it. Went and had a very light breakfast and the van came and pick me up to take me to the hot springs waterfall, the Emerald Pool and Tiger Cave. I was the first one picked up so I had choice of any seat, I picked a single seat in the back. Since I wasn’t feeling good, I went to sleep, luckily we had about a hour and a half before we arrived at the Hot Springs Waterfall. The ride to the hot springs waterfall was a ROLLERCOASTER RIDE! The driver was super quick driver and there was a lot of twists and turns, and HUGE bumps! It made for a very hard time to sleep.
We arrived at the hot springs waterfall. The waterfall is very warm. There were a lot of people there and it was nice to sit in the water, for a little while. It was about a 500 meter walk there, which was not something that I really wanted to do but glad that I did.
After we finished there, we went to the Emerald Pool. It was a natural made swimming pool with very clear water. It was about 800 meters walk through the jungle. It was very nice and shaded. The pool was BEAUTIFUL and the water was so very nice! We had the opprotunity to swim for about a hour and was very great! Then we had lunch which was a spicy chicken, rice and veggies it was very good!
Following lunch I had the chance to try Thai Coffee, which was a first, it was instant coffee and was in a bag! It was….uh…OK, really sweet, would have been better if it was real coffee.
We had a another hour drive to the Tiger Cave. The tiger cave is a temple that is at the top of a mountain. It is 1,243 steps to the top. I still wasn’t feeling the greatests but I thought I would give it a try. I had done similar things before no problem. THIS was TOUGH! The steps were huge went up past my calf. I got about half way up and was getting dizzy. I decided that it was not smart for me to go the rest of the way up, since I would have to come back down, which was just as hard. I am SO mad that I didn’t get up to the top but if I was feeling well I would have been able to do it.
Got back to the hotel and decided to try and find some dinner. I decided to stay at the hotel and get Green Curry Chicken. It was very spicy and was DELICIOUS! A very GREAT day, minus the not feeling well,.
